Responsibilities/Duties:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Patient Registration/Accounts this position: performs computerized admission/discharge/transfer procedures, reception duties including multilane switchboard, processes month end statistical/financial documents, manages Long Term Care Trust Account, performs health records clerical functions, access Alberta Wellnet Applications, performs financial transactions in QuickBooks for both patient/non-patient specifics, performs moderately complex clerical duties, performs Connect Care duties.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma – Required. Knowledge and experience with window-based PC, network environment – Typing Speed of 50 Words/Minute – Required. Minimum 12 months experience in a Clerical position involving accounts receivable. Ability to perform accurate data collection, organize and priotize workload to meet established department and legislated deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff. English language skills in reading, writing and communication – Required. Ability to work well within a team environment and foster positive communication, and adapt to ongoing changes. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Please note this position is located outside of Calgary city limits. (45 km south of Calgary).
