Minimum: 17.07 per hour Maximum: 18.62 per hour
Reporting to the Supervisor of Environmental Services, the Service Worker is responsible for the cleaning & disinfection of equipment, wheelchairs, patient care areas, re-stocking of supplies, transporting of patients, specimens and supplies and equipment, as well as assisting Nursing staff as required.
A High School Diploma, a minimum of two years of previous experience in a healthcare environment and CPR are required. The ability to organize tasks with minimal supervision and to adapt to frequent interruptions in work activities; and the ability to work independently and assess work priorities is also required.

The successful candidate must be able to stand, walk and lift heavy objects on a continuous basis and be able to follow correct procedures and guidelines for product and equipment use in order to ensure safety and efficiency. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, as well as a good command of the English language (both oral and written). This position requires the ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and display tact, courtesy and discretion at all times.
