The Environmental I (Housekeeping Attendant I) performs a variety of cleaning services within the hospital complex in compliance with departmental policies, procedures and standards. Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning of clinical and non clinical areas; including regular and isolation cleaning of occupied and discharge/transfer patient rooms. The physical aspects of this position include spending extended periods of time standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.
A High School Diploma is required. (Internal applicants without a High School Diploma will be considered). Good command of the English language (both oral and written) and effective interpersonal skills are required. Recent housekeeping experience performing similar duties in a hospital or institution is preferred.
